RUBY TUESDAY - The Rolling Stones
Well, have immersed myself in about 12 hours of reverential listing to His Bobness….darned if I just didn’t want to get something else and I reached for my nearly new copy of the Stones album Between the Buttons (American release)…and I loved this one while my lady and shuffled around on the parquet floor….
So it makes sense to share it as today’s auditory cleansing pick from the Flimwell Papers’ Music Corner….there is a bit of trivia here…the bloke on piano and organ is great Mr. Ian Stewart and a few of us were at a little gig and recording thing Mick and pals did as a tribute to Ian. see the next clip
THIS LITTLE BIRD - Marianne Faithfull
There’s a little bird that somebody sends
down to the earth to live on the wind.
born on the wind and he sleeps on the wind
this little bird that somebody sends.
he’s light and fragile and feathered sky blue,
so thin and graceful the sun shines through.
this little bird who lives on the wind,
this little bird that somebody sends.
he flies so high up in the sky
out of reach of human eye.
and the only time that he touches the ground
is when that little bird
is when that little bird
is when that little bird dies.
